Miracle (Entry #14)
I wished for a miracle and it turned out to be you.
The makers of the universe planted seeds of infatuation in my heart
And watched them bloom--green as can be. Leaves with wings. We flew.
We grew our love naturally and rode out the high
Riding clouds of bliss and calm until time cried, causing hurricanes of confusion..
Golf-ball sized raindrops of bourbon, meaningless sex was FEMA of my solutions,
Because you were my Katrina.
I thought the love we built was beautiful until the levy was broken and flood began.
Wiping out forever and drowning our plans. Teaching me that even the best intentions
Could be useless. You were the potion of pain that exposed my heart to the right side of my brain.
It taught my mind that writing is the medium but living is the art so writing and living became one and the same.
They say to never let a crisis go to waste so I dipped my pen in the blood of a heartbreak
And gave myself to the world.
Thank you for the crucifixion.
Maybe I needed it,
Even though I'm still trying to find a way
To rise again.
"6 Many claim to have unfailing love, but a faithful person who can find?
7 The righteous lead blameless lives; blessed are their children after them."
